Notaries Who Are Medical Personnel

On a psych unit, for involuntary admissions, the courts require a signature from the Medical Director / psychiatrist and the legal guardian. Would it be a conflict of interest to have a supervising nurse perform the notary services?

A supervising nurse on a psych unit may notarize the required admission’s documents for the Medical Director or psychiatrist and legal guardian as long as she does not have a financial or beneficial interest in the documents required for such admissions.
